2987 - Coro Jelly Belly Lucite Fish Brooch

Cool jelly belly fish brooch made by Coro. He is one of Coro's famous jelly belly pins and getting harder and harder to find. Measures approx. 1-5/8" wide and 1" high and is signed Coro on the back.The tail and face have pave-set clear rhinestones and the Lucite belly is spotted with 6 clear crystal rhinestones. This little fish also has a red eye and painted red lips
that make him adorable. The jewelry advertisement is from a 1949 magazine. Excellent vintage condition.

The CORO jewelry company started doing business about 1900. It was the largest
of all costume jewelry manufacturers in the 1920's with a workforce of over
2,000. Coro used many different marks with Coro being their first mark in 1919.
Coro used over 70 trademarks while in business with some the the top quality
lines being named Corocraft, Coro Craft and Vendome. The Coro company went out
of business in 1979 after 80 years of making costume jewelry. Highly
collectible pieces include early Coros, Duettes, figurals, jelly belly. Mexican
